# Introduction
closes https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/591
Same than for `twenty-shared` made in
https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/11083.
## TODO
- [x] Manual migrate twenty-website twenty-ui imports
## What's next:
- Generate barrel and migration script factorization within own package
+ tests
- Refactoring using preconstruct ? TimeBox
- Lint circular dependencies
- Lint import from barrel and forbid them
### Preconstruct
We need custom rollup plugins addition, but preconstruct does not expose
its rollup configuration. It might be possible to handle this using the
babel overrides. But was a big tunnel.
We could give it a try afterwards ! ( allowing cjs interop and stuff
like that )
Stuck to vite lib app

# Introduction
In this PR we've migrated `twenty-shared` from a `vite` app
[libary-mode](https://vite.dev/guide/build#library-mode) to a
[preconstruct](https://preconstruct.tools/) "atomic" application ( in
the future would like to introduce preconstruct to handle of all our
atomic dependencies such as `twenty-emails` `twenty-ui` etc it will be
integrated at the monorepo's root directly, would be to invasive in the
first, starting incremental via `twenty-shared`)

## How to test
In order to ease the review this PR will ship all the codegen at the
very end, the actual meaning full diff is `+2,411 −114`
In order to migrate existing dependent packages to `twenty-shared` multi
barrel new arch you need to run in local:
```sh
yarn tsx packages/twenty-shared/scripts/migrateFromSingleToMultiBarrelImport.ts && \
npx nx run-many -t lint --fix -p twenty-front twenty-ui twenty-server twenty-emails twenty-shared twenty-zapier
```
Note that `migrateFromSingleToMultiBarrelImport` is idempotent, it's atm
included in the PR but should not be merged. ( such as codegen will be
added before merging this script will be removed )

## Upcoming enhancement: ( in others dedicated PRs )
- 1/ refactor generate barrel to export atomic module instead of `*`
- 2/ generate barrel own package with several files and tests
- 3/ Migration twenty-ui the same way
- 4/ Use `preconstruct` at monorepo global level
## Conclusion
As always any suggestions are welcomed !
## What
This PR aims to make sure all application exceptions are captured
through react-error-boundaries
Once merged we will have:
- Root Level: AppErrorBoundary at the highest level (full screen) ==>
this one needs to be working in any case, not relying on Theme, was not
working
- Route Level: AppErrorBoundary in DefaultLayout (full screen) ==> this
was missing and it seems that error are not propagated outside of the
router, making errors triggered in CommandMenu or NavigationDrawer
missing
- Page Level: AppErrorBoundary in DefaultLayout write around the Page
itself (lower than CommandMenu + NavigationDrawer)
- Manually triggered: example in ClientConfigProvider

# Introduction
Avoid having multiple `isDefined` definition across our pacakges
Also avoid importing `isDefined` from `twenty-ui` which exposes a huge
barrel for a such little util function
## In a nutshell
Removed own `isDefined.ts` definition from `twenty-ui` `twenty-front`
and `twenty-server` to move it to `twenty-shared`.
Updated imports for each packages, and added explicit dependencies to
`twenty-shared` if not already in place

Fixes: #8487#5027
1. Summary
The purpose of these changes is to elevate the dev/user experience when
the initial config load call fails for whatever reason by displaying a
fallback component.
2. Solution
I ended up making more changes than I initially planned. I had to update
the order of the contexts a bit because `GenericErrorFallback` is
dependent on `AppThemeProvider` for styling and `AppThemeProvider` is
dependent on `ObjectMetadataItemsProvider` for
[`useObjectMetadataItem`](ae2f193d68/packages/twenty-front/src/modules/object-metadata/hooks/useObjectMetadataItem.ts (L22))
hook (`AppThemeProvider` -> `useColorScheme` -> `useUpdateOneRecord` ->
`useObjectMetadataItem`). I had to create a wrapper component for
`AppThemeProvider` and stylize it in a way that it looks responsive on
both mobile and desktop devices. Finally, I had to introduce the
`isErrored` flag to differentiate the loading and error states.
There are some improvements we can make later -
- Display a loading state for the initial config load
- Implement a refetch logic for the initial config loading failure

Fixes: #7460

**Changes & Why**
Since all the settings pages lie in the Outlet of DefaultLayout, there
was no way to handle it apart from creating a separate errorFallback for
the settings route.
So, I created a settingsErrorFallback component that uses the same
styling of settings pages.
Created ErrorBoundaryWrapper that checks if its settings route then show
SettingsErrorFallback else show GenericErrorFallback.
Now, for the breadcrumb part. I found that all the settings pages use
hardcoded title. So, I created generateBreadcrumbLinks function that
will provide different title and links based on how it's respective
settings page has them.
If this approach looks fine, I will add the other remaining titles and
links to the generateBreadcrumbLinks function and move that whole
function to its separate file. And will fix linting errors.
If there is any different approach to handle it, lemme know. I'm happy
to implement it.
Add support for indexes on composite fields and unicity constraint on
indexes

Previously the error boundary component was re-rendering with the same
state as long as we stayed in the same router, so for page change inside
an index container, it would stay on error state.
The fix is to memorize the location the error page is on during its
first render, and then to reset the error boundary if it gets
re-rendered with a different location even in the same index container.
Fixes : #3592
I have added error logging to Sentry using Sentry.captureException. The
_info object which includes the componentStack will be sent in extra
data along with the exception.
[In a previous PR](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/5008) I was
fixing dark mode by calling useTheme in AppErrorBoundary while there was
actually no parent ThemeProvider. This was causing a bug when an error
was actually intercepted by AppErrorBoundary because theme was empty.
Now I am providing the error theme in GenericErrorFallback, fallbacking
to THEME_LIGHT as it can be called from outside a ThemeProvider (as it
is the case today), but also reading into ThemeProvider in case we end
up using this component in a part of the application where it is
available, not to necessarily use THEME_LIGHT.
## How was it tested?
with @thaisguigon
Locally (dark mode works + error mode works (throwing an error in
RecoilDebugObserver))
Add support for a new SENTRY_RELEASE and SENTRY_ENVIRONMENT env.
It is optional and allows to init sentry with a Release version and an
env (used internally at Twenty).
Docker image have been updated do intergrate the new env as an Argument
Split from https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/4518
- Setup `@ui/*` as an internal alias to reference `twenty-ui/src`.
- Configures twenty-front to understand the `@ui/*` alias on development
mode, so twenty-ui can be hot reloaded.
- When building on production mode, twenty-front needs twenty-ui to be
built beforehand (which is automatic with the `dependsOn` option).
- Configures twenty-front to understand the `@ui/*` alias when launching
tests, so there is no need to re-build twenty-ui for tests.
