- Added all usable composite field types on pet custom object
- Fixed missing createdBy on people and company seeds
- DEFAULT_SUBDOMAIN is now used for login (could be improved for multi
workspace)
- Refactored ObjectMetadataStandardIdToIdMap to disambiguate from
ObjectMetadataMap
- Refactored seedCustomObjects
## Context
Enum are named after this pattern
`${schema}_${tableName}_${columnName}_enum` however now that we allowed
table name update, we need to make sure their enums are renamed as well.
Fixes https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/issues/8760
## Context
Index names are based on table names and column names, which means
renaming an object (or a field) should also trigger a recompute of index
names. As of today it raises a bug where you can't create an object with
a name that was previously used.
I also took the occasion to refactor a bit the part where we create and
update (after renaming) relations. Basically the only relations we want
to affect are standard relations so I've aligned the logic with
sync-metadata which uses standardId as a source of truth to simplify the
code.
Note: We don't create index for custom relations
Next step should be to do that and update that code to update the index
name as well. Also note that we need to update the sync-metadata logic
for that as well
Refactoring update of standard relations when a custom object is
renamed, after observing occasional issues.

### Description
- This PR has as the base branch the TWNTY-5491 branch, but we also had
to include updates from the main branch, and currently, there are
conflicts in the TWNTY-5491, that cause errors on typescript in this PR,
so, we can update once the conflicts are resolved on the base branch,
but the functionality can be reviewed anyway
- We Implemented a new layout of object details settings and new, the
data is auto-saved in `Settings `tab of object detail
- There is no indication to the user that data are saved automatically
in the design, currently we are disabling the form

## Context
Latest refactoring broke the findOneWithinWorkspace method which is
called during object update, I'm simply reverting this change.
object-metadata-relation.service was naively computing a namePlural
based on the nameSingular while we already had that info in the DB...
Should fix some issues with renaming as well because the original field
was not computed with the right name.
## Context
ObjectMetadataService became quite large and handles too many
responsibilities. I'm trying to refactor a bit this part in preparation
of a larger work that will combine object-metadata services and
sync-metadata logic
- Created a STANDARD_OBJECT_ICONS that can be reused in relation
creation to refer to a standard object icon.
- Created a STANDARD_OBJECT_FIELD_IDS that can be used with an object
name to get its standard field ids.
- Moved migration, record and relation creations to dedicated services,
refactored to improve performances and readability
- Refactored some validation logic

In this PR
1) (FE) fixing update of name not taken into account if toggle value is
changed in the same transaction
2) (BE) moving same nameSingular and namePlural validation before
effective update
By default, when custom fields are created, a searchVector field is
created based on the "name" field, which is also the label identifier by
default.
When this label identifier is updated, we want to update the
searchVector field to use this field as searchable field instead, if it
is of "searchable type" (today it is only possible to select a text or
number field as label identifier, while number fields are not
searchable).
Add support for indexes on composite fields and unicity constraint on
indexes

## Context
Name shouldn't be added to all tables, especially standard objects
because they already have their own labelIdentifierFieldMetadata
specified in the workspace-entity schema. This PR removes this column
from the "base" list of columns to add when creating a new object/table
and moves it to the object-metadata service that is, as of today, only
used for custom objects. Also had to modify the migration-runner to
handle column creation in a table creation migration (this was available
in the migration definition already but was not doing anything)
This also fixes an issue in standard objects that already have a "name"
field defined with a different field type, this is even more important
when the said field is a composite field. For example people already has
a FULL_NAME name field which clashes with the default TEXT name field
meaning it was only creating 1 field metadata for 'name' but 3 columns
were created: `name, nameFirstName, nameLastName`. This inconsistency
with metadata (which is our source of truth everywhere) brought some
issues (lately, converting back typeorm response to gql (including
composition) was broken).
Steps to test
1. Run metadata migrations
2. Run sync-metadata on your workspace
3. Enable the following feature flags:
IS_SEARCH_ENABLED
IS_QUERY_RUNNER_TWENTY_ORM_ENABLED
IS_WORKSPACE_MIGRATED_FOR_SEARCH
4. Type Cmd + K and search anything
This PR introduces the following changes:
- add the metadataVersion to all our metadata cache keys to ease
troubleshooting:
<img width="1146" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8427805b-e07f-465e-9e69-1403652c8b12">
- introduce a cache recompute lock to avoid overloading the database to
recompute the cache many time
- make member nullable on favorites
- add potential relation with view entity
- add a new type of favorite list in front : workspace favorite
- build a new component for retrieving workspace favorite to display +
refacto the existing one
Bonus:
- removing activities seed since this is deprecated
The code removed in the PR was flagged as unused by the JetBrains
inspector.
I did a QA on the dev environment but other checks are highly
recommended.
There is one commit by scope to make the review easier.

### Description
- We updated the logic in
packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/object-metadata/object-metadata.service.ts
Test cases:
1. Ensure that when an object is disabled, all related relationships are
also disabled.
a. Example disable the people object
b. Check the company object and verify that the people field has been
disabled too
c. Check the opportunity object and check that the point of contact
field has been disabled too
2. Verify that when a previously disabled object is restored, the
relationships are also restored.
3. Ensure that previously disabled relationships remain disabled when
the object is disabled and later restored.
4. Verify that relationships of a disabled object are not visible in the
UI.
5. Ensure that relationships to a disabled object are marked as inactive
in the data models screen

## Context
As we grow, the messaging scripts are experiencing performance issues
forcing us to temporarily disable them on the cloud.
While investigating the performance, I have noticed that generating the
entity schema (for twentyORM) in the repository is taking ~500ms locally
on my Mac M2 so likely more on pods. Caching the entitySchema then!
I'm also clarifying naming around schemaVersion and cacheVersions ==>
both are renamed workspaceMetadataVersion and migrated to the workspace
table (the workspaceCacheVersion table is dropped).
In this PR:
- adding Favorites to Tasks and Notes
- fixing inconsistencies between custom object creation and sync of
standard fields of custom objects
- fixing workspaceCacheVersion not used to invalidate existing
datasource
In this PR, I'm:
- adding createdBy field (type ACTOR) on custom objects when created
- moving `name` and `position` default column to the set of columns
automatically creation on object creation
- fixing a bug on mutations (update / create), if the targetted object
has a 'data' custom field, it was conflicting with the payload ==> I
feel we need to refactor this part of the code but we can keep this for
a bit later as we plan to move out of pg_graphql

Class exception for each metadata module + handler to map on graphql
error
TODO left :
- find a way to call handler on auto-resolvers nestjs query (probably
interceptors)
- discuss what should be done for pre-hooks errors
- discuss what should be done for Unauthorized exception
Remote object id columns are not removed anymore when a remote object is
unsynced.
This is because we do not use relations anymore. We only created the id
field. So the current behavior that was implemented for custom objects,
to retrieve the fields to deleted, does not work.
Since remote object relations are really different, I extracted the
logic from `objectMetadataService`. It now handles only the relations
for custom objects creation and deletion (this part should be extracted
as well).
I create a new remote table relation service that will:
- fetch objects metadata linked to remotes (favorites,
activityTargets...)
- look for columns based on remote object name
- delete the fields and columns
For remotes, we will only create the foreign key, without the relation
metadata. Expected behavior will be:
- possible to create an activity. But the remote object will not be
displayed in the relations of the activity
- the remote objects should not be available in the search for relations
Also switched the number settings to an enum, since we now have to
handle `BigInt` case.

We do not update the comment on the local table when a foreign table key
is deleted.
This was not breaking, which is why we did not see it. But comments
should be kept up to date.

Fixes#5276.
Updates were not triggering a cache version incrementation because they
do not trigger migrations while that is where the caching version logic
was.
We have decided to move the cache incrementation logic to the services.
## Context
Currently we have an unicity constraint in the DB but we don't return a
clear error to the frontend before reaching the DB (which then throws a
500). This PR adds a validation check similar to what we have with field
creation
We should not depend on the foreign data wrapper type to manage distant
table. The remote server should be enough to handle the table creation.
Here is the new flow to fetch available tables:
- check if the remote server have available tables already stored
- if not, import full schema in a temporary schema
- copy the tables into the available tables field
- delete the schema
Left todo:
- update remote server input for postgres so we receive the schema
---------
Co-authored-by: Thomas Trompette <thomast@twenty.com>
New strategy:
- add settings field on FieldMetadata. Contains a boolean isIdField and
for numbers, a precision
- if idField, the graphql scalar returned will be a GraphQL id. This
will allow the app to work even for ids that are not uuid
- remove globals dateScalar and numberScalar modes. These were not used
- set limit as Integer
- check manually in query runner mutations that we send a valid id
Todo left:
- remove WorkspaceBuildSchemaOptions since this is not used anymore.
Will do in another PR

Refactored the code to introduce two different concepts:
- AuditLogs (immutable, raw data)
- TimelineActivities (user-friendly, transformed data)
Still some work needed:
- Add message, files, calendar events to timeline (~2 hours if done
naively)
- Refactor repository to try to abstract concept when we can (tbd, wait
for Twenty ORM)
- Introduce ability to display child timelines on parent timeline with
filtering (~2 days)
- Improve UI: add links to open note/task, improve diff display, etc
(half a day)
- Decide the path forward for Task vs Notes: either introduce a new
field type "Record Type" and start going into that direction ; or split
in two objects?
- Trigger updates when a field is changed (will be solved by real-time /
websockets: 2 weeks)
- Integrate behavioral events (1 day for POC, 1 week for
clean/documented)

him. He will only see that no tables are available.
We will display a connection failed status if an error is raised testing

2/ If the connection fails, it should still be possible to delete the
server. Today, since we try first to delete the tables, the connection
failure throws an error that will prevent server deletion. Using the
foreign tables instead of calling the distant DB.
3/ Redirect to connection show page instead of connection list after

4/ Today, foreign tables are fetched without the server name. This is a
mistake because we need to know which foreign table is linked with which

We've introduced in PR #4373 standard ids to be able to rename standard
fields and objects.
Fields part was working properly, but objects part was not yet
implemented.
This PR is adding the missing parts to make it work.
This PR is dropping the column `targetColumnMap` of fieldMetadata
entities.
The goal of this column was to properly map field to their respecting
column in the table.
We decide to drop it and instead compute the column name on the fly when
we need it, as it's more easier to support.
Some parts of the code has been refactored to try making implementation
of composite type more easier to understand and maintain.
Fix#3760
---------
Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com>
Several fixes for remote objects:
- labels are now displayed in title case. Added an util for this.
- Ids are often integers but the foreign keys on the relations were
uuid. Sending the id type to the object metadata service so it can
creates the foreign key accordingly
- Graphql comments are override when several remote objects are
imported. Building a function that fetch the existing comment and update
it
---------
Co-authored-by: Thomas Trompette <thomast@twenty.com>
Foreign table id cannot be a foreign key of a base table. But the
current code use foreign keys to link object metadata with activities,
events... So we will:
- create a column without creating a foreign key
- add a comment on the table schema so pg_graphql sees it as a foreign
key
This PR:
- refactor a bit object metadata service so the mutation creation is
separated into an util
- adds the mutation creation for remote object relations
- add a new type of mutation to create a comment
